PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A Pittsfield college student authorities allege received 25 pounds of marijuana through the U.S. mail has pleaded not guilty to drug distribution charges.

Lance X. King was released on $5,000 bail after entering his plea on Thursday in Central Berkshire District Court to one count of possession of a class D substance with the intent to distribute.

Police tell The Berkshire Eagle a raid Wednesday at the 22-year-old Berkshire Community College student's home netted the pot packed in boxes throughout the house.

King's attorney says his client does not live at that address.

Police also raided King's parents' home and seized $2,300 they say is connected to the drug sales.

Police did not to say where the marijuana was sent from.
